Air
The star-filled sky serves as a ceiling for the restaurant and bar. Why would you want anything between you and the world’s clearest skies?

A sense of being somewhere else
Inspired by Pre-Inca ruins, we worked with a local
historian to recreate adobe structures so our guests
feel transported into another world.
The round shape and natural building materials (adobe,
stone and wood) keep the suites cool in the heat of
the day, and warm in the chilly evenings.
“I deeply believe in how our ancestors built their homes and how they lived”
Don Edgar, who has worked at Awasi Atacama since the day
the first brick was laid and is now Head of Maintenance.
Adobe wall
Hidden inside an ancient adobe wall, Awasi
Atacama is a secret place reserved just for guests.
“After a day spent exploring the stark but stunning Atacama Desert, you need a bit of luxury. Awasi's ten spacious cottages have private patios, outdoor showers, big armchairs and alpaca blankets.”
